Firewood

Firewood

Legna

Description

It is a material derived from tree trunks. Firewood is categorized into rather tender or hard.
Tender wood is the one taken from spruce, poplar, pine, alder, chestnut, willow. Hard wood is the one derived from oak, elm, holm oak, beech, ash, hornbeam. It is suggested to use this last one as it burns slowly, producing a long lasting heat.

Costs

The firewood has not significant changes of price.

Storage

Firewood is sold loose or on pallets. Wood that has just been cut can have up to the 75% of humidity, so it needs to stay around 2 years in a covered but aired place. The more the wood is dry, the more heat output you have.

Heat

Wood stoves produce a healthy and natural heat, through radiation and the heat convection. The majolica covering stocks heat and releases it slowly.
